WHY EXERCISE SHOULD BE YOUR FIRST STEP ON THE ROAD TO SUCCESS

All of us wish we were successful.  Some of us are stuck in the wishing mode, and some of us are already well on our way.  If you are stuck in that wishing phase, I would recommend you start an exercise routine.  Here’s why:

1.  Think Time

As you exercise you can really think about your day.  What did you do that you liked?  What did you do that maybe you shouldn’t do next time?  Picture what you want to accomplish.  Take out your frustrations by breaking a sweat instead of breaking down.  A regular exercise routine will give you a chance to think and get rid of some serious energy and frustration.

2.  Self Discipline

Getting yourself into a healthy routine is a good habit to form.  One of the best ways to get rid of bad habits is to develop good habits instead.  So replace your television time with an afternoon walk or run.  Hit the weights instead of the computer.

“…The only difference between those who have failed and those who have succeeded lies in the differences of their habits.  Good habits are the key to all success.  Bad habits are the unlocked door to failure.” – Og Mandino

3.  Daily Goal Attainment

You say “I want to go on an afternoon walk 5 days a week” and you actually do it.  Congratulations, you set a goal and succeeded.  The more times you do this the easier it is to set goals and attain them.  Before you know it you are applying the same principle to other areas of your life.

“When you're running, there's a little person that talks to you and says, ‘Oh I'm tired. My lung's about to pop. I'm so hurt. There's no way I can possibly continue.’ You want to quit. If you learn how to defeat that person when you're running you will know how not to quit when things get hard in your life.” – Will Smith

4.  Confidence

It’s only a matter of time before you start seeing results and overcoming daily obstacles.  You will lose fat and start fitting in your clothes better.  You become proud of yourself and stand up straighter.  You will also tire less throughout the day.  You will become someone who overcomes obstacles and fatigue.  Confidence is a huge step towards achieving your goals and succeeding in life.

“What we face may look insurmountable. But I learned something from all those years of training and competing. I learned something from all those sets and reps when I didn't think I could lift another ounce of weight. What I learned is that we are always stronger than we know.” – Arnold Schwarzenegger

So remember that even though you want financial or family success, your first step should be to develop an exercise routine.  Get physical!  Get healthy!  Get Confident!  This process will inevitably lead to success in all other areas of your life.
